Just Some Updates & 15 Minutes for $15

Hey, everyone! Just some quick updates and I'll be off. =] I'm very surprised that nobody took me up on those free Tarot Reading offers I had up on both of my blogs! I'm going to be offering another free mini-Tarot Reading soon though not on my blog quite yet.

If you purchase Tarot Readings from me on LivePerson, my rates did go up due to "supply and demand." Basically: too many requests, too little time. =[ There are some really awesome Specials going on (like the Halloween Special) that you can take advantage of to save some money. =]

However, I have a special offer outside of LivePerson. If you would like a live Tarot Reading over MSN, Yahoo Messenger, or AIM, then now is the perfect chance for you to get one for just $15. That includes free time at the beginning to chat and ask questions and approximately 15 minutes of Reading time. It's perfectly fine if we go over by a few minutes as I will finish answering the question we're on. =] This is a wonderful offer and it won't last too much longer! Payments for this are accepted via PayPal. Just e-mail me for more information. =]

Updates and Extended Deadlines

Hey, everyone! I have some great news! First of all, I have extended the deadline for the scavenger hunt where you can win a free one-card Tarot Reading and it's just as in-depth as a paid one! Just go back to my blog and you can check out what to do for that! So now the deadline for it is 11:15 PM EST on Saturday the 18th. =]

There are a few updates. I'm not changing the SocialVibe for this week; it's staying the same! =] The last update is that I'm taking down the countdown since it hates me and isn't working. =[

French Grammar Lesson: French Articles

Hey, everyone! So I really need to brush up on my French, French grammar, French verbs, and so on. What's even worse is that my high school French teacher taught some things wrong so now they're nasty habits! And, being a French Major, I need to fix it and fix it NOW!!!

So I'm starting from the beginning and going over some easier things to refresh my memory and help those of you that may come upon this article, looking for help.

So there are basically three types of French articles: definite, indefinite, and partitive. Each type has 3 categories that an article falls into being: masculine singular, feminine singular, and masculine and feminine plural. I've colored them to let you see how they blend together and also so you can identify them later on in the lesson. Let's take a look at my table (that probably won't turn out right the first few tries):

                                             Definite         Indefinite             Partitive
Masculine Singular                   le (l')               un                   du (de l')
Feminine Singuluar                   la (l')              une                de la (de l')
Plural (Masc. & Fem.)                 les                des                      des

Occasionally you'll come across a few prepositions and articles that are formed into a contraction. This happens when "de" or "à" comes before the articles "le" or "les". So that's when the following four contractions happen:
"de le" becomes "du"                       (de + le = du)
"de les" becomes "des"                    (de + les = des)
"à le" becomes "au"                         (à + le = au)
"à les" becomes "aux"                      (à + les = aux)

Take for example the following two sentences:

"Nous parlons du concert des Rolling Stones." (We are talking about the concert of the Rolling Stones.)
If you didn't have the contractions, the sentence would have been "Nous parlons de le concert de les Rolling Stones" which would have soundly awfully choppy!

"Ils pensent aux petits chiens." (They are thinking about little dogs.)
Strange sentence, yes, but it gets the point out there! Without the contraction, we would have "Ils pensent à les petits chiens" which sounds a bit . . . strange. Naturally, that only makes the strange sentence worse!

Find the contraction on your own for this one: "Nous allons à le restaurant." (We are going to a restaurant.)
This should have been pretty easy to capture! The "à + le" combination turns it into an "au". Thus, the sentence should be "Nous allons au restaurant."

There are a few cases where you don't make a contraction. As seen above, you use them with the articles "le" or "les" so you never use them with "la" or "l'". You also don't use them when "le" or "les" is a personal pronoun.

Let's take a look at a few examples:

"La vie de l'homme." (Man's life.) [Literally: The life of the man.]
This is pretty simple; "de l'" is kept because it does not need to be made into a contraction.

"La fin de la musique." (The end of the music.)
Once again, this is another where you keep the "de la" because it does not become a contraction.

"Essayez de les manger." (Try to eat them.)
This can be tricky if you don't know your reflexives! So let's break it down a little, shall we?
"Essayez de les manger." (Try to eat them.)
I've highlighted everything that's basically the same in French as in English. The word "de" is the only which is not highlights, but the blue font is matched to the highlighted blue. This is because "de" always comes after the verb "essayer" (to try) when you are trying to do something. We know that "manger" is in it's infinitive form so it means "to eat". Last, "les" is the reflexive of "them" so it goes before the verb "manger". Because "les" is a personal pronoun, the "de + les" combination is not changed to "des" but keeps it's form.

"Elle viens de le rencontrer." (She just ran into him.)
This is similar to our above example. Think about it for a minute and then read on. I'll color-code things again for you.
"Elle viens de le rencontrer." (She just ran into him.)
As a little note, when you're using venir as if to say something has just been done, you must add "de" after the verb. We also see that "recontrer" in this can is showing that this girl "ran into" this guy. But how do we know this? We see that "le" is reflexive before the infinitive form of a verb, showing that this girl ran into "him". So why isn't "de le" turned into "du"? When you have "de + le" it's supposed to turn into "du"! But, remember, in this case . . . "le" is reflexive, thus making it a personal pronoun. So that doesn't count here.

I hope I managed to straighten some things up for you; I know I helped myself. Sometimes the simplest things are the hardest to remember. Keep the little table we made up in mind for future lessons. =]

If you have any questions at all about this, please feel free to leave a comment and ask! =]

Get a FREE Mini Tarot Reading on "Focus" for October!

Hey there! This is an offer I had for two weeks prior to October, both on LivePerson and on Twitter! But now I'm secretly offering it on my blog! I'm offering a free mini Tarot Reading on "Focus" for October to anyone that wants one! The "focus" sums up events or conditions that will come up in your future. Think of it as the foundation of the month.

To receive this, there are just a few things to do:
  1. Make sure you have a blogging account.
  2. Follow me (I'll follow you back!).
  3. Leave a comment on this post saying you're going to e-mail me.
  4. Go to the "SocialVibe of the Week" and click on it. Fill out what it says. Then leave your name or username where it says to leave your name. Then leave a message. If you haven't said your username (for your blog) in the name area, leave it here.
  5. Send me an e-mail at TarotReadersForum@Yahoo.com and tell me your username! Then I'll check over everything and send you your free mini Tarot Reading!
Please keep in mind these Readings are not in an answer to any question. It just shows you the "focus" (which I explained earlier) for October. This offer lasts from Sunday the 4th until Saturday the 18th. Everyone that gets one will be featured in a post with a link to your blog as well as a link of your choice to an outside site like Twitter, MySpace, Facebook, etc.

Win a FREE Tarot Reading [Scavenger Hunt!]

So I've decided not to wait and just let a freebie go right now! From 11:15 PM Eastern Standard Time tonight (Saturday) until 11:15 PM Saturday the 10th 18th I will be offering a free Tarot Reading to whomever correctly answers all my questions! The Tarot Reading will be an answer to one of your questions! It will be a normal Reading as if it is a paid Reading! So if you do this Scavenger Hunt, you can get a $6 Reading absolutely free!

It's almost as if you're a client of mine, but you aren't paying a cent for a wonderful Reading! Have a question you want an answer to? Want to know your future, how someone feels about you, what will happen in this new relationship, or anything else? Just do this Scavenger Hunt and ask! What do you have to lose? There are couple things I can't answer with Tarot, however. So please do not ask about any of the following:
  • Timing ("when" questions)
  • Health (including pregnancy)
  • Legal questions
  • Death
  • Specific things like hair color, names, etc.
Here's how you can easily obtain your free Tarot Reading:
  1. Open up something like WordPad or NotePad and number it the amount of questions there are.
  2. Search my Twitter account, LivePerson profile, internet, and this blog for answers!
  3. E-mail me at "TarotReadersForum@Yahoo.com" and be sure to title the e-mail "Scavenger Hunt - [Your Blogger Name]" so I know what and who it is. Also, add a link to your blog! It's also a good idea to include your question at the bottom of the e-mail!
  4. Make sure to click "follow" on this blog (don't worry, I'll follow you back).
  5. Come back to this post and leave a comment saying you e-mailed me the answers!
  6. You must do steps 4 and 5 in order for me to reply and consider your answers. I'll check the answers and will let you know which ones are wrong, if any. If there aren't any wrong, I'll send you an e-mail back asking for your question if you haven't provided it already. If you have, I'll send you a congratulations e-mail and will shortly do your Reading!
  7. Make sure to get your answers in on time! I will not accept late answers. =[
There are five different "sets" of questions. The first requires you to search my Twitter, the second requires you to search my LivePerson profile, the third requires you to search this blog, and the last two require you to search the internet (some random questions involved, too). Remember that this is absolutely free so you don't have to sign up or pay for anything; the only thing you must have is a blog on this site.

You'll find all the links you need to my LivePerson and Twitter on the right. Here are the questions! Enjoy and good luck!

Set one (Twitter):
  1. What color is my background?
  2. What is my username?
  3. On October 1st, I made a tweet about a raffle. How many tickets were there in the raffle? (This requires some use of the "more" button at the bottom!)
  4. On September 28th, I made a few tweets. One was about me wondering about something. What was I wondering about? (Click "more" a few times!)
  5. Is my avatar about the same or different than the one here on this blog?
Set two (LivePerson):
  1. How much does it say I charge per minute?
  2. How much do 3 questions cost in e-mail?
  3. How many cards does the "Love Interest" Tarot Reading have?
  4. What card did I pull for myself for my "focus" for October?
  5. At the bottom of the page it says to read the rest of my reviews. Click on it! Scroll down to September 5th reviews and find the one by "Anon" and read the review. What did the client say I was added to?
Set three (Blog):
  1. What was the "MyTwitPic" of . . . that's somehow on an angle
  2. What is the middle song on My Playlist?
  3. Go to my SocialVibe of the week! Click on it and fill out what it asks you to. By doing this, you will help the Noreen Fraser Foundation raise money to fund women's cancer research! At the end it will ask you to let me know you were there. Where it says to enter your name, enter your name or username. Then leave a message where it says to leave a message; if you used your name, make sure to leave your username here in the message area! This is so I know that you helped contribute! It only takes a minute to do and you'll feel great about yourself! =] (As a note, I think you can do this more than once to add more time of research and the sponsor changes on occasion. You don't have to leave a message every time. But you must do it at least once!)
  4. How old am I?
  5. How many Specials do I have at one given time?
Set four (Internet):
  1. How many Tarot Cards are in a normal deck of cards?
  2. Name one Major Arcana card!
  3. What is a Psychic called that has "clear seeing"?
  4. Who created my favorite Tarot deck, "Gilded Tarot"?
Set five (Internet):
  1. Who plays Christopher Marlowe, William Shakespeare's rival, in Shakespeare in Love?
  2. What comedy series won a writing Emmy in 1993, after being canceled earlier that year? (Remember it won a writing Emmy but doesn't mean it is necessarily the one that won for comedy series. Look up information about the shows!)
  3. What John Lennon song was remade in 1991 by a group of musicians that included Lenny Kravitz, Cyndi Lauper and MC Hammer?
  4. What birds were the unlikely steeds for players of the video game Joust? (Pretend you're Player 1.)
  5. What nickname has the press given real estate empress Leona Helmsley?
  6. What Batman character was killed off as the result of a reader vote?
I've checked each question and hints are in (here) for a little extra push. I understand there are 25 questions total and may take you some time. It's great if you have nothing to do, but to move faster, here are some tips:
  • Have a friend join you! Heck, have more than one! You can split up the questions and get done faster! However, each person is still responsible for doing #3 in set 3, e-mailing me, following me on here, and commenting on this post. But other than that . . . have as many friend join! Remember that the more people you get to help, the faster you'll be done and more people can enjoy an answer to a question they have by a professional Tarot Reader!
  • Check Google!
  • Keep searches to minimum words!
  • Wikipedia is your friend!
Hopefully you'll get some friends together and complete this fun scavenger hunt! I look forward to hearing all of your replies! Please remember to check over the steps to make sure you've e-mailed me, followed me here, and commented! Be sure to follow the instructions for #3 of set 3, too! I'd hate to have someone lose because they forgot to do a step. You only have to comment here once no matter how many times you may have to submit your answers.

As an added bonus, each person that gets correct answers will not only get the in-depth free Tarot Reading on a question of their choice, but they will also be placed in one post that will promote their blog (with a link) and one to another site of their choice like Twitter, MySpace, Facebook, etc. So it's a great way to get a good review and many gain some friends!

One last note before I end this: DO NOT POST ANSWERS AS A COMMENT!!! I check each comment and if you post answers here or ask for answers, I will disqualify you for this. Please don't do it. =[ If you need help, ask on Yahoo Answers or find a friend to do this with!

Enjoy and good luck! You have from 11:15 PM Saturday to 11:15PM Saturday the 10th 18th! Get started!

Beautiful Blessings,
Natasha <3

Have a question about something? Leave a comment or send me an e-mail. Even ask on Twitter! I'll be happy to answer any questions you have as long as they aren't "what's the answer" questions. =]

A Note About My Tarot Specials

Hey! I just thought I'd post a little note about my Specials for Tarot Readings. They are constantly changing, though I won't make a post when it happens (or that would get very annoying). But at any given time, there are four Specials available:
  • New Client Special: This is the type of Special only new clients can get. Sometimes it will be a percentage off of Readings, or a free question, and sometimes money off future Readings!
  • Repeat Client Special: These are wonderful for clients that wish to come back for another Reading! Most of the time they are discounts but occasionally they are freebies among other things!
  • Current Special: This normally consists of a combination of two different Readings for a lower price. But in the past I have had raffles where the client wins a free Reading or even a large sum of money off future Readings!
  • "Special" Special: This is hard to name. That's because the name is constantly changing. It's always listed first in my little excerpt and sometimes consists of money off, freebies, or even future price deductions.
I always update the Specials on a Sunday and they vary in how long they last so be sure to check back because you never know when I'm going to offer something at a very low price! I've even been known to offer repeat clients 50% off of e-mail Readings. You just never know!

Anyway, I hope to see some of you there. Keep checking my blog for freebies!

Beautiful Blessings,
Natasha <3

Hey, Everyone!

Hey there! My name is Natasha and I'm an eighteen-year-old college student. I'm studying to become a teacher (French and Choir). I am an aspiring author and hope to publish at least one book before I die. In addition, I am a professional Tarot Card Reader. I give some amazing Readings and you can even check out my feedback by just following the link in this post. =]

This blog will be filled with some random ramblings. I may post some more serious discussion pieces or something; not too sure yet. =] But you may see a few postings on Tarot, though not as much since I am writing a book on Tarot and it's great to keep things under wrap. Haha!

I've added three songs to My Playlist:
  • Right Round - Flo Rida
  • Love Drunk - Boys Like Girls
  • Jump - Flo Rida
You'll see more songs added eventually and the list will grow.

I also have a countdown (if the date actually stays and doesn't keep resetting itself) for the Thunder From Down Under. Uhm . . . hot Australian guys . . . adult entertainment . . . need I say more? I have a soft spot for Aussies and my best friend Valerie told me about this group and, no joke, two days later I heard they were coming to Cleveland on the radio. So we're planning to go see them! Haha!

Check out my different links, if you'd like. One goes to my Tarot Reading site on LivePerson. I'm actually planning on opening my own website where I can lower prices. =] On LivePerson you can either get an e-mail Reading or LiveChat Reading from me; if you'd like a LiveChat Reading, just let me know a time and I'll try to be on for then so we can chat about it. The other link goes to my Twitter which I try to update often. Sometimes updates are just about my life . . . or about Tarot. The final link goes to my other blog that is nearly identical, though a little different, on WordPress.

Another thing I have up on my blog is the little module for SocialVibe. I'm going to try to change it weekly. This week it's for the Noreen  Fraser Foundation. =]

I also have a CafePress account but it's not all complete and I'll end up having to purchase a full subscription, so hopefully it pays off.

I'm considering starting a forum to talk about different things that I may mention in my blog (don't worry, I'll have some interesting discussion pieces). I may even restart talk shows that I used to do. Some might be about the interesting topics we have, and others may be free Tarot Readings. Just wait to see, I guess! =]

Well, I hope to fit in nicely here and get some people to read my blog; I'll gladly return the favor. Keep your eyes posted for "freebies" which may include a free mini Tarot Reading. I actually just finished one that lasted two weeks . . . but I might still allow it here! How does that sound? =]

Beautiful Blessings,
Natasha <3
